If you eat bananas every day, what happens to your body?

Your gut health could improve

A banana can even improve your gut health if you eat them every day, as they are easier to digest and can ease stomach pains (via Self). The starch in bananas acts as a prebiotic, providing food for healthy gut bacteria, according to BBC Good Food. In doing so, an environment is created in which they can reproduce and thrive, making your gut healthier. A healthy gut is not just a calmer tummy. According to WebMD, gut health has a huge impact on the rest of the body, supporting the kidneys, heart, and immune system. A banana a day can also help if you feel bloated. Among 34 women who consumed two bananas each day, a study published in Anaerobe found that they experienced significantly fewer symptoms of bloating. In spite of the fact that this study only had a small number of participants, it appears bananas can help control gas production.
