Researchers found that individuals who ate healthier diets, including bananas, had fewer symptoms and improved lung function (via WebMD), according to a study examining the effects of diet on those living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Despite the fact that bananas alone won't necessarily make a big difference, bananas as part of a varied and nutritious diet and as a good source of potassium might.
